App Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 14, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Policy explains how Connectionship ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses and protects information through the Connectionship app and the services that support it. It also covers app-related account, support and privacy-request flows accessed through a browser. The app is offered in the United States. Standalone public website use is outside this Policy’s scope.
Connectionship helps people discover one another, make connections and meet in person.
2. Information We Collect and Use
We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the Service, and information from sign-in providers, your device and other people interacting with you through the Service:
- Account and age information: identity, contact and sign-in details, and age information such as an available platform age range or date of birth, to manage accounts and establish eligibility.
- Profile and social information: profile details, photographs, preferences, availability, connections, invitations, messages and meeting information, to help people discover one another, communicate and arrange meetings.
- Location information: device location, including precise location when you permit it, and locations or addresses you provide, to show nearby people and venues and support meetings, maps and directions.
- Communications and business information: support requests, contact submissions, reports and venue contact details, to answer questions, address problems and manage venue listings and business relationships.
- Usage and technical information: interactions with the Service, device and browser information, IP addresses, notification identifiers and diagnostics, to operate, secure and improve the Service, deliver notifications and understand usage.
Venue results can include paid listings. The selected search location and your saved-venue preferences affect venue ranking. The search location may differ from your device location.
We also use relevant information to prevent abuse, moderate content, enforce our terms, manage consent and privacy requests, and meet legal obligations. Cookies and similar technologies may be used in app-related browser flows to maintain sessions and provide those features.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your data. We share information for the following purposes:
- Providing social features: other users receive relevant profile information, age ranges and approximate proximity, and the conversation and meeting information shared with them through the Service. Accepted friends receive your personal name or selected verified email only when you enable sharing of that field.
- Operating the Service: service providers process information for authentication, maps, notifications, email, hosting, storage, support and internal analytics. We require providers handling your information to provide protection at least equivalent to this Policy and applicable App Store privacy requirements, and to use it only for the services they provide to us.
- Legal and safety needs: we may disclose information when required by law or necessary to enforce our terms or protect rights, property or safety.
Authorized staff use information for support, moderation, account administration and service operations.
4. Your Choices and Rights
You can manage your profile and available privacy preferences in the app. We ask for permission before collecting app usage data to improve the software. You can disable further collection for this purpose in the app’s settings without losing ordinary app access. This choice does not disable processing needed to provide or secure the Service. Device settings let you change permissions for location, photographs and notifications. Denying a permission may limit features that need it. For app-related browser flows, browser settings let you manage cookies; blocking them may affect those features.
You can initiate account deletion in the app. To request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, or to raise another privacy request, email privacy@connectionship.co. We may need to verify your identity.
Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, opt out of legally defined sale or sharing, and exercise your rights without discrimination. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it through the relevant settings or by contacting us, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Retention and Deletion
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Account deletion removes ordinary access immediately; account information is retained during the recovery period disclosed before deletion, then erased through our deletion process. The standard account recovery period is 90 days. Information needed for legal obligations, disputes, safety enforcement or independently maintained business records may be retained separately for those purposes. You may request earlier erasure, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
6. Age Requirement
Connectionship is for people aged 18 or older. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the account and take appropriate action.
7. Legal Bases, Security and International Processing
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent, performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests in operating, protecting and improving the Service, or legal obligations, as applicable.
We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no system is completely secure. Information may be processed outside your country; where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. Websites and services you visit independently have their own privacy policies.
8. Changes and Contact
We reserve the right to update this Policy at any time, including as the Service and our data practices change. We will publish the revised Policy and update its date, notify you of material changes through the Service or another reasonable method, and obtain renewed agreement or consent where required. An update does not replace any consent required for a new use of your information.
